the 2000 population of Jacksonville,Florida was 736,000 and was increasing at the rate of 1.94% each year. At that rate, when will the population be 1 million?

  • MATH! -

    736 * 1.0194^n = 1000

    1.0194^n = 1.358695

    n log 1.0194 = log 1.358695

    n = 15.95

    so give it about 16 years
    2016
