Jon is flying an airplane.He is currently 3,5000 feet in the air and he is ascending at a rate of 500 feet per minute.How many minutes it will take him to reach a height of 9,000 feet

  • coordinate algebra -

    he has to go up another 5500 feet.
    Divide that by 500, and it will take 11 minutes.

    (9000-3500)ft / 500ft/min = 11 min
