My teacher for my english class at school marked off for these questions and said I could redo it and turn it in tomorrow. I am for sure I did these right. Here are the questions.

Underline the verb in the parentheses that agrees with the subject.

1. In the Northern Hemisphere, winter (begin, begins) on December 21 or 22.

2. All team members (works, work) hard to win.

For number 1 I put begins and for number 2 I put work but she counted it wrong. I'm so confused! Can anyone help me?

Your answers are correct. When you discuss these with your teacher, be sure to say you are following the subject-verb agreement rules: singular verb with singular subject (winter / begins) and plural with plural (members / work).
