why would a capitalist society, in general, cause war?

  • debate -

Capitalists like to make money. Wars make money for companies that supply arms and supplies for troops.

  • debate -

does that mean that companies that supply arms and stuff are the reason why we would go through war/ i dotn understand...honestly i don't understand capitalism at all..:(

  • debate -

I believe we go to war for altruistic reasons. We want to defeat the bad guys and help the good guys.

However, capitalists profit from war. They're in business to make money. If they make money from selling guns, tanks, planes, military uniforms, etc., then war is good for them.
