A rectangular table top measures 7 / 9 of a meter long by 2 / 9 of a meter wide. What is the area

  • Math -

    area = (7/9)(2/9) = 14/81 m^2

    (never heard of anybody measuring metres in ninths,
    that would defeat the purpose of using then nicety of the metric system)
