I need help showing work. I did it in my head and now missing a huge part of how I got it.

110=2/3*8

my answer is 165 but they ask me to showwork, which I am always getting docked because as I read the question I do it in my head. Ugh! Please help!

You're missing something. You didn't post an equation. There is no unknown in your problem.

Never mind, I got it!!! Thanks!

I just figured it out sorry forgot to include the whole story. It was how many 2/3 (8 inch) boards will it take to make a fence of 110 feet!

Hoping I did it right! I made 110 feet into how many inches and then divided the 8 to get 165 boards needed!

You're right. :-)

Thank you Ms. Sue!!!!

To show your work for solving the equation 110 = (2/3) * 8, follow these steps:

Step 1: Rewrite the given equation with parentheses around the fraction to avoid ambiguity:

110 = (2/3) * 8

Step 2: Multiply the numerator (2) by the denominator (8):

110 = (2 * 8) / 3

Step 3: Simplify the denominator, which is 3:

110 = 16 / 3

Step 4: To solve for the variable, which in this case is missing, you want to isolate it on one side of the equation. To do this, you need to multiply both sides of the equation by the denominator (3):

110 * 3 = 16

330 = 16

Therefore, your answer, 330, is incorrect, and you need to recheck your work. While this explanation may not provide you with the expected answer, it demonstrates the process of solving the equation step-by-step.
