goverment

in the recent presidential election, romney's comment "binders full of woman" really offended people. why were people so offended, i don't really understand, did he mean something bad?

First, it seemed rather shallow and insulting to think of a lot of women shoved into binders. The story behind this remark was that when he was governor of Massachusetts, he asked his staff to find qualified women for government jobs. His staff compiled binders with information about recommended women.
Democrats also like to point out that when Romney was in business, he had few women associates.
