what angle does the line y=6/7x make on the xy plane with a positive x axis?

    The slope of a line is the same as the tanØ , where Ø is the angle it makes with the x-axis
    so in y = 6/7x
    we have tanØ = 6/7
    Ø = appr. 40.6°
