need some help on an algebra question. First we had to put the different combinations of 6 rabbits in 2 cages. Like 2 rabbits in the red cage and 4 rabbits in the blue cage...etc. Then it says to write an equation using variables that represent the rabbits and be sure to tell what each variable represents in the equation. I'm not sure what to do. Would you do 2r + 4b = 6 where r is rabbits in the red cage and b is rabbits in the blue cage or would you do somethin else? Thanks

To write the equation, you need to consider the total number of rabbits that are in both cages. Let's break down the problem step by step.

First, let's define the variables. Let's use "r" to represent the number of rabbits in the red cage and "b" to represent the number of rabbits in the blue cage.

Now, think about what the equation needs to represent. We want to represent the total number of rabbits, which is 6. The sum of the rabbits in the red cage and the rabbits in the blue cage should be equal to 6.

So, the equation should be:

r + b = 6

This equation represents the total number of rabbits across both cages, with "r" representing the number of rabbits in the red cage and "b" representing the number of rabbits in the blue cage.
