The point P lies in the 4th quadrant and is located on a circle of radius 2. Find the missing coordinate for P. (___, (negative square root of 3)).

  • Precalc/Trig 2 -

    so you given y = -√3

    x^2 + y^2 = 2^2
    x^2 + 3 = 4
    x^2 = 1
    x = ± 1 , but the point is in IV
    so x = 1
