A car accelerates uniformly from rest to a
speed of 24.3 km/h in 5.8 s.
Find the distance it travels during this time.
Answer in units of m

    v = 24300 m/3600s = a t = a (5.8)
    so
    a = 1.16 m/s

    d = (1/2) a t^2 = .5 *1.16 * 5.8*5.8
    = 19.6 meters
