Natural vs. Synthetic Products
By: Bryce Romig
Have you ever heard the quote "Beauty is only skin deep"? The fact of the matter is, beauty is more than skin deep. Everyday people all over the word are rubbing harsh chemicals all over their delicate skin. Since the skin acts more like a sponge than a barrier, these chemicals are being absorbed into the body. The FDA approves these chemicals as safe, but how safe are they really?
The problem with absorbing chemicals is that doctors don't know the long term effects of these chemicals on the human body. Some may cause cancer, others may progress disease, the possibilities are endless. Many people are switching over to using organic and natural products that don't contain harsh chemicals.
Many natural products can give you just as good or even better results than heavily manufactured products. Natural products are a much safer alternative and offer multiple benefits to the skin versus leading skin care products.
The downside of using natural products is that they don’t come packaged and found in stores. Some natural products are on the market, but they can be pricey. Homemade skin care products are fairly easy to make, and are cheaper too. However, some can be time consuming.
A major benefit of using and making your own skin care products is that the user knows exactly what’s in the product they are slathering on their skin. They know where it came from, who put it together, and what it contains.
Natural products are also biodegradable, meaning they will decompose in landfills, and will not hurt the environment. Also, they contain no perfume additives which many businesses and companies are outlawing because of the allergic reactions they are causing people.
They are also animal friendly because they are not tested on animals. Many synthetic products are tested on lab animals before they are perfected and put out to the consumer. In the first stages of these synthetic products, many of them kill the animal they are tested on, or cause other serious side effects such as burns and open wounds.
When it all comes down to it, natural is the way to go. With all of the benefits natural ingredients supply, they easily beat synthetic and chemically loaded products. From helping the environment, to saving your health, natural products are becoming more and more popular among people everywhere; why not give your skin a break and give them a try?

To proofread this paragraph, there is a misspelling in the word "world" - it should be "word."

Many natural products can give you just as good or even better results than heavily manufactured products. Natural products are a much safer alternative and offer multiple benefits to the skin compared to leading skin care products.

The downside of using natural products is that they don’t come packaged and found in stores. Some natural products are on the market, but they can be pricey. Homemade skin care products are fairly easy to make and are cheaper too. However, some can be time-consuming.

The next paragraph is well-written and does not require any corrections.

Natural products are also biodegradable, meaning they will decompose in landfills and will not harm the environment. Also, they contain no perfume additives, which many businesses and companies are outlawing because of the allergic reactions they cause people.

They are also animal-friendly because they are not tested on animals. Many synthetic products are tested on lab animals before they are perfected and put out to the consumer. Overall, the paragraph just needed minor proofreading corrections, such as spelling and grammar.
