I've been studying the transesterification of dimethyl carbonate to diphenyl carbonate, and experimental equilibrium constant (K) values range from 0 to 0.5 at temperatures from 298 to 450 Kelvin. My question is:

How do we make a reaction more spontaneous or how do increase K to proceed the reaction forward?

Generally,

a. increase T if that doesn't decompose reactants or products.
b. Remove the product by distillation or some other means (such as precipitation if that is feasible).
