A hydrocarbon gas burned completely in O2 to give CO2 and H2O.It was found that one volume of hydrocarbon gas at STP produced two volumes of CO2 and three volumes of steam corrected at the same temperature and pressure. What is the emperical formula of this gas? Please show me how to work out the formula.
