Choose the correct answer I put my answers in CAPS:
1) Neither his physician nor the floor nurses HAVE been in to see him yet this morning.
2) On sponge and instrument count, it was noted that one of the sponges WAS missing.
3 The costs of his research WERE paid by the hospital.
4) Dr. Jack, with the assistance of Dr. Jill and Dr. Pail, IS performing the surgery.
5) Past medical history shws the patient's mother currently HAD breast cancer.

    Everything looks good except #3, it is supposed to be Was.

    Liz is wrong.

    The subject, "costs," is plural so the plural verb, "were" is correct.

    Lori -- number 5 is incorrect.
