I got a math test coming up on Friday, and i need help on reviewing what i have learned. There's many questions and problems in it. I did this test on the first day of summer school, and since it's been two weeks already, i should've study, and i did. I just need help on one of the questions that i didn't get and forgotten about it. I need help on changing the decimals into fractions. How do you do it?

Thanks Ms. Sue 4 the help. I went both of the sites you have chosen for me, and it was great! :)

You're very welcome, Losa.

To change decimals into fractions, you can follow these steps:

1. Determine the place value of the decimal. This will help you determine the denominator of the fraction.

2. Write the decimal as a fraction with the same numerator and denominator.

3. Simplify the fraction if possible.

Let's take an example to illustrate the process. Suppose you have the decimal 0.75 and you want to convert it into a fraction.

Step 1: The decimal has two decimal places, so the denominator will be 10 raised to the power of 2, which is 100.

Step 2: Write the decimal as a fraction with the same numerator and denominator:

0.75 = 75/100

Step 3: Simplify the fraction if possible. In this case, both the numerator and denominator can be divided by 25:

75/100 = 3/4

So, 0.75 is equivalent to 3/4 as a fraction.

Remember, if the decimal is repeating, you can use the method of repeating decimals to fractions. But for non-repeating decimals like the one we used in the example, these steps should be sufficient to convert them into fractions.
