I am very bad in parts of speech so I need help!
Find all the verbs in each sentnce
1. We spent a considerable amount of time hiking up the mountain.
2. It was a foolhardy to go over the waterfall. In a canoe.
3. In the carribean waters there are fish of every hue.

    Verbs can either show action or state of being. Action verbs tell what someone or something is doing.

    In your first sentence, "We spent a considerable amount of time," which word tells what we did?

    Sentences 2 and 3 have state of being verbs.
    The most common state of being verbs are:
    be, am, are, is, was, were.

    Which of those verbs do you see in the second and third sentences?
