determine the equation of the line passing through the point (-4, 3) and parallel to the line segment joining A(5, -2) and B(3,4)

  • math -

    slope = (4+2)/(3-5) = 6/-2 = -3

    so it must be y = -3x + b
    plug in the point (-4,3) to find b
