How do you know that bone is a living material?

My Answer (and think) - it contains cells

I need a bit help on this qs.
My teacher won't accepted this so I have to add more details.

IT does have cells, it grows, its cells reproduce (bones grow), and it has blood flow getting food from the blood.

Bones grow in children. When a child or adult breaks a bone, it heals and reunites in a few weeks.

Bone "is" a living material. It have cells and it also grows. Its cells reproduce (bones grow), and it has blood flow getting food from the blood.
