A rectangular kennel measures 26 1/2 feet by 20 1/4 feet. Find the area of the kennel in square feet.

• Basic college math -

A = LW

Since working with decimals is easier than working with fractions, I'll use the decimal equivalents.

A = 26.5 * 20.25

A = 536.625 = 536 5/8 sq. ft.
