A spherical water tank has a diameter of 10 feet. How much water does it hold when half full ? ( use 3.14 )

  • Geometry -

volume of a sphere (4/3)(3.14)Radius cubed,
so, 4/3*3.14*6*6*6 = 904 cubic feet of water, but, you only want it "half" full
    904*1/2=452.39 cu. ft. of water
