The final temperature of a material was 315K and delta T was 15 degrees. What the initial temperature be if the material is being cooled...
and also initial temperature if the material is being heat?

Please and Thank you.

  • Chemistry -

    T final = 315 K
    delta T = 15 K.
    If being cooled, it must have started 15 higher at 330 (330 - 15 = 315).
    If being heated, it must have started at 300 (300 + 15 = 315).
