How does one deal with another runners joy after getting sufficiently skunked?
In other words, Can I get some tips on how to be a good sport when I get creamed during a race?

Turn the focus away from yourself. You're not that important. Besides -- if you did your best -- then that's a good reason to be joyful. You'll be a lot happier if you learn to be a good sport and feel genuine good will toward others -- even when they beat you.
