The way these 2 sentences are set up, it seems awkward to put either in that blank. Let me see the directions given for this exercise and any modelo/example you might have. Otherwise:
Yo encuentro la amabilidad = I find friendliness.
Yo busco a un amigo que es amable. You could use "personal a" here but the sentence is incorrect as you have it. "amigo" is singular and the verb is plural "son" with a singular adjective.

THE USES OF POR AND PARA:
PARA means: for, in the sense of purpose, use, destination, for (by) a time in the future, considering that (in spite of the fact that). It is also translated: in order to, to, by. Many times you an substitute the word "a" (to, toward, and not the Personal "a") imstead of "para."
Para also means "Para ser"
POR means: for, in the sense of in exchange for, period or extent of time, for the sake of.
Por also means: for, after the verbs: ir, enviar, luchar, llamar, preguntar
Plr also means: during and is often translated by in.
Por expresses the idea of rate and is equivalent to "per."
Por also means by, through, along
Usually you can substitute "porque" for "por"

***The following verbs are not followed by "por" or "para" because the word "for" is part of the meaning of the verb. They are:

In the second sentence "Yo busco ____ amigo que son amables" you should use the word "un". The correct phrase would be "Yo busco un amigo que son amables" which translates to "I am looking for a friend who is kind." In this case, "un" is the indefinite article used before a masculine singular noun.
