Isosceles triangle ABC has vertices at A(0, 0), B(8, 0), and C(x, 12). The value of x could be

  • geometry -

    I guess AC = BC

    d^2 = x^2 + 144 = (x-8)^2 + 144
    x^2 -16 x + 64 = x^2
    x = 64/16 = 4
