I have a question- I finished reading The Sound and the Fury and I have 50 questions to answer;
I'm not sure about two of them;
Why was Benji's name changed from maury early in life-
The choices were: The mother disapproves of her brother Maury so she doesn't want her son named after him
OR Since Benjy is mentally challenged, the Compton's feel it is insulting to uncle Maury that he is his namesake.
I'm not happy with the exact wording of either but I think it would be the second answer about Benjy being mentally challenged
2. In what way is Miss Quentin like her mother Caddy.
The choices were she is demure and feminine
she is intelligent and scholarly
she is fiercely independent
she takes care of Benji
I think the only logical answer is she is fiercely independent
