A rocket expels gases at a rate of 1.30 x 10^3 kg/s with a speed of 3.00 x 10^4 m/s. What is the force
exerted on the rocket?

    Vex = velocity of the exhaust gases
    g = acceleration due to gravity
    w = the flow rate of the exhaust gases
    F = the thrust exerted on the rocket

    Vex/g = F/w or F = wVex/g
