Dividing: Write the expression as a complex number in standard form

1) 2+5i/5+2i

2) 6-i√2/6+i√2

for the first one I solved it and I only got this far: 10+21i-10i^2/25-4i^2

  • Algebra 2 -

    Remember that i^2 = -1
    25-4i^2 = 25+4 = 29
    10 + 21i - 10i^2 = 10 + 21i + 10 = 20 + 21i

    So, you have (20 + 21i)/29 = 20/29 + 21/29 i
