An earth satellite, the mass of which is 1000 kg, is in a circular orbit 1000 km above the surface of the earth. It is desired to transfer it to a circular orbit 1500 km above the surface. The amount of work that must be done to accomplish this is
A. 3.43 * 109 J
B. 1.71 * 109 J
C. -1.71 * 109 J
D. 6.65 * 1010 J
E. -3.43 * 109 J

My teacher says the correct answer is B, but I am not getting that I am getting A; can someone please show me the correct work, this question is confusing?
