A 20 N cat is sitting on a branch 5 meters high.
What is the PEg of the cat?
what is the KE of the cat?
What is the total energy of the cat?

    im guessing PE is potential energy
    eqn is PE=mgh
    20N is weight of cat, which is equal to Fg, which really is Fg=mg
    so simply mgh=20x5=100.
    The cat's kinetic energy is = .5mv(2) (the two is a superscript, meaning the v is squared)
    Regardless it's velocity is = to 0 when it is sitting, right? so KE=0
