i was searching around and cannot find the rules for the forum. where is the page containing said rules?

Jiskha has no set rules.

Obviously we do not allow insults, profanity, and other inappropriate posts.

i thought as much. i ask because i think a few of my posts have been deleted, and i failed to see any problem with them... one was asking for clarification on a posted question, and when next i looked it wasn't there, even though i was sure i posted it correctly.

Often, when there is no effort shown on the part of the student to come up with the answer, the post may also be deleted.

To find the rules for a forum, you can follow these steps:

1. Look for a link titled "Forum Rules" or "Community Guidelines" on the forum's homepage. This link is often located in the navigation menu at the top or bottom of the page.

2. If you can't find a dedicated link, explore other sections of the website. Many forums place their rules in sections like "Terms of Service," "FAQs," or "About Us."

3. Check the sidebar or footer of the forum's homepage for links to important pages. Commonly, forum rules are located in these areas for easy access.

4. Additionally, try using the search function on the forum's website. Enter keywords such as "rules," "guidelines," or "policies" to narrow down the results and find the desired page.

5. If you're still unable to locate the forum rules, consider doing a web search using the forum's name along with keywords like "forum rules" or "community guidelines." This may help you find external sources or discussions that could lead you to the specific page you're looking for.

By following these steps, you should be able to find the page containing the rules for the forum you are interested in. Happy browsing!
