A ball moving at +3.0 m/s along a table rolls off a table and lands on the ground 2.0 m away. How high was the table?

    How long was it in the air?
    It went 2 meters at 3 m/s
    t = 2m/(3m/s) = 2/3 seconds
    d = (1/2) a t^2 = -4.9 t^2
    d = -4.9(4/9)
    = -2.18
    It fell 2.18 meters (high table )
