1 liter of a 1 M lithium hydroxide solution is added to 1 liter of a 1 M barium chloride solution, and a precipitate forms. What ions are left in solution after the reaction is complete?

2LiOH + BaCl2 ==> Ba(OH)2(s) + 2LiCl2(aq)

The problem is worded as if the expected answer is Li^+ and Cl^- if the reaction is exact; i.e., no BaCl2 or LiOH excess. However, Ba(OH)2 is not that insoluble so Ba^2+ and OH^- will be in solution, also.
