Evaluate the indicated function for
f(x)=x^2-8 and g(x)=x-4
(fg)(3)
Am i doing this right?
((x^2)-8))(x-4)
=(x^3 -12+32)(3)

Thanks!

• Pre-Calc -

it depends on what you mean by (fg)(3)

What I think you are working with is a convolutions

f convolution g of 3 is
= (x-4)^2 - 8 when x=3) or
= 1-8 or -7
