yes! cuz its the absolute value of that equation, the numbers are just inverses of one another. so if A is 4 and B is 5 then

4-5 is -1, which would become 1
5-4 is 1, which remains 1

10-5 is 5
5-10 is -5, which becomes 5.

they always stay the same. without the absolute value this would not, however, be true
