Mathematics Algebra Linear Equations
solve 13x+2y=-6 in the form of f(x)=mx+b
13x+2y=-6
Transpose constants and terms in x to the right hand side to isolate y:
2y = -13x -6
Divide throughout by the coefficient of y:
y=-13x/2 -3
=>
m=-13/2
b=-3
