Can you check this very short summary on the second World War, please?

1) On 1st September 1939 Germany invaded Poland. England allied with France against Germany.
2) Germany entered France but British people managed to evacuate most of the English soldiers from France.
3) In 1940 Italy declared war on the Western Powers (at the side of Germany??/Italy sided with Germany) and France was forced to capitulate. 4) Germany attacked Great Britain trying to destroy the bases of the Royal Air Force in the South of England.Bomber raids (or bombing raids can you explain me the difference?)
5) The pilots of the Royal Air Force managed to save England in the autumn of 1940, before the winter made the invasion impossible. In 1941 Hitler attacked Russia in June and the Japanese, in December, attacked the American naval base of Pearl Harbor.
6) The Germans advanced victoriously as far as Stalingrad but here the Russians resisted heroically and managed to defeat Germans and Italians.
