X^3+5x^2-9x-45

  • Rational root theorem -

    are you factoring ?

    looks like "grouping" works nicely

    x^2(x+5) - 9(x+5)
    = (x+5)(x^2 - 9)
    = (x+5(x+3)(x-3)
