how can you relate potential difference to finding the radius of a postivie ion moving through a magnietic field? thank you!
I assume the potential difference is used to give an initial velocity to the ions.
PE*Q=1/2 m v^2
Then, set centripetal force on the ion equal to the magnetic force, and solve for radius.
