I have to find the square footage of my kitchen floor with the length of one side being 8 inches. So, now I know I can make X=8. f(x)=x^2 is the template needed for this solution. If f(8)= the square footage of my kitchen floor, what will my answer be? f(8)=8^2 f(8)=64 8 was my input (x) and 64 was the output (y). My answer is 64sqft. where might there be a problem with the units used in this real world problem?

Proofread your question before you post it. One side of your kitchen = 8 inches? Is it a doll house?

With the units you describe, there would be a problem.
