A rectangular sheet of
aluminum foil is 50 centimeters long and 20 centimeters
wide, and weighs 5.4 grams. Find the thickness
of the aluminum foil in centimeters.

  • algebra -

    D = kg/V = 2700kg/m^3.

    5.4*10^-3 / V = 2700,
    V = 5.4*10^-3 / 2.7*10^3 = 2*10^-6.

    V = 0.05 * 0.02 * T = 2*10^-6,
    1*10^-3*T = 2*10^-6,
    T = 2*10^-6 / 1*10^-3 = 2*10^-3m = 2mm.
