Use the properties of rational number operations to find a value for x that solves the equation 2/7x = 3/5

  • rational number operations -

    Is that (2/7)x or 2/(7x) ?
I have no way of telling. They are not the same. If you mean (2/7)x, it is better to write it as 2x/7

In either case, multiply both sides of your equation by 7/2 and proceed.
