how do you Prepare a 0.1 L of a 0.1 M NaCl solution, and describe the process in writing.

How many moles NaCl do you want? M x L = moles.

0.1M x 0.1L = 0.01 moles.
How many grams does it take to have 0.01 moles NaCl?
grams = moles x molar mass = 0.01 x about 58.5 = 0.585 gram (approximately. You should do it more accurately).
Procedure:
Accurately weigh 0.585 g NaCl, quantitatively transfer the solid to a 100 mL volumetric flask, add some water, swirl to dissolve all of the solid, then make to the mark with distilled water.
[note: The above procedure is NOT THE SAME as weighing 0.585 g NaCl and adding to 100 mL water. It is vitally important that you understand the difference.]
