How many pounds of apples costing .64 per pound must be added to 30 pounds of apples costing .49 per pound to create a mixture that would cost .58 per pround

  • Algebra -

    solve ....

    .64x + .49(30) = .58(x+30)
I suggest multiplying each term by 100
    64x + 49(30) = 58(x+30)

    easy from there ....
