How can I tell if 3360 is divisible by 24 without doing division?

  • Math -

    See if 3360 contains prime factors that can be multiplied together to get 24.

    But dividing by 24 directly is easier.

    3360 = 336*5*2
    = 112*3*5*2
    = 8*7*2*3*5*2

    There is a factor of 8*3 = 24 in that group
