Read the analysis of Lady Macbeth, and then let us know what you think.

i think Lady Macbeth is aware that he is ambitious but not to the extent that Macbeth takes it, everybody is ambitous but have their own levels, do you know what im trying to say? i think she is aware of his pride and uses it against him to get him to commit the murder, like when she says she would do it if she was a man, shes trying to attack his man hood.

Yes -- but don't understate her level of ambition. A large part of this play is based on how much more ambitious and ruthless she is than her husband. She is, as that analysis says, "one of Shakespeare’s most famous and frightening female characters."

Be sure you reread that analysis of Lady Macbeth before you write up what you will submit.

k thank you :)

You're welcome!

To find out if Lady Macbeth knows about Macbeth's ambition before he kills King Duncan, you can refer to William Shakespeare's play Macbeth.

1. Read the dialogue between Lady Macbeth and Macbeth: In Act 1, Scene 5, Lady Macbeth receives a letter from Macbeth describing the witches' prophecies, including their prediction that he will become King. In following scenes, Lady Macbeth encourages Macbeth to take action to fulfill his ambition.

2. Analyze Lady Macbeth's soliloquy: In Act 1, Scene 5, Lady Macbeth reveals her own ambitions for her husband, expressing her willingness to do whatever it takes to ensure his ascent to the throne. This suggests that she is aware of Macbeth's ambition.

3. Examine Lady Macbeth's manipulation: Lady Macbeth actively persuades Macbeth to commit regicide to secure the crown. She questions his masculinity and urges him to be ruthless, demonstrating her knowledge of his aspirations.

By studying the play's text and analyzing Lady Macbeth's actions and words, it becomes clear that she is indeed aware of Macbeth's ambition prior to the murder of King Duncan.
