Sarah uses balsa wood to build airplane models. After completing a model, she had a strip of balsa wood measuring 7/8 of a yard left over. Shawn the Weirdo wants to buy half of the strip from Sarah. If Sarah paid $2.00 for each yard, how much should she charge Shawn for the strip he buys?

  • Arithmetic/Math -

    (1/2) * (7/8) = 7/16

    (7/16) * $2.00 = 14/16 = 7/8 = $0.875 = $0.88
