a bus having mass of 3000kg is moving at 30m/sec.find the momentum of the bus.

1)at the starting point from rest.
2)at the final state while motion at 30m/sec.
3)find the difference of momentum in above (1) and (2)

Hi sweetie, momentum = mass (kg) X velocity (m/sec).

So for 1) At rest, velocity = 0m/sec. So momentum should be.... (Apply formula above)

[Ans:0 kgm/sec]

for 2) At that final state, velocity = 30m/sec. So momentum should be.... (Apply formula above)

[Ans: 90,000kgm/sec]

for 3) To find the difference, just take the answer from 2 - the answer from 1.
