mount everset is 29,029 feet above sea level. How many yards above sea level is Mount Everest?

Would I divide 29,029 by 3?
9,976 feet above sea level
Would this be correct?

Thank You.

Your number is correct. But the problem asks for yards, not feet.

  • math -

So that would be about 30 yards
    (29.9)

    Thank you Ms. Sue

    Good heavens, no!

A football field is 100 yards long. When I was a child, my house was on a small lot that was about 30 yards deep.

You had the right answer, but stated it as feet not yards.

  • math -

    1 yard= 3 feet
    29029/3=9676.333yard
