please could someone help me answer this question

why relations between britain and germany changed in the years 1936-1939?

was it because britain didn't want to get involved with germany because they didn't want another war to start?
im not sure what to write.

Germany, under Hitler, begain by renouncing the Treaty of Versailles and remilitarizing the Rhineland.

Germany began its policy of expansion in 1936. After Prime Minister Chamberlain accepted Germany's promise that it would not expand beyond Sudetenland (a part of Czechoslovakia) and Germany had annexed Austria, the German invasion of Poland made it clear that Germany and its Axis partner Italy intended to conquer all of Europe, including Russia. By the end of 1939, Germany controlled most of Europe.
